The scalable plate carrier the whole system is built around.

The EPIC™ is the carrier you configure around the mission. A patented integrated ballistic framework gives the vest its structure, spreads the load and reduces back face deformation, while the gusseted plate pocket takes away the pressure a hard plate normally puts on the body. It comes off with one hand: a single-handed 4-wire cutaway, or the Taktic buckle quick release on the DSX version. From there it scales: zip-on back panels, armoured shoulders, collar, throat and groin protection all attach to the same base. Made by TYR Tactical® in a male cut and a patented female cut.
