Senseer · Weapon management system

Every weapon keeps its own record.

Shot-counting sensors and the software that turns rounds fired into readiness.

Ask an armoury how many rounds a rifle has fired and the honest answer is usually an estimate. Maintenance follows the calendar, ammunition is ordered on last year's numbers and the inventory is counted by hand.

Senseer changes the source of that information. A small sensor in the grip or on the rail counts every shot on the weapon itself, an NFC touch at the armoury reads it out, and the management system turns it into round counts, maintenance, chain of custody and readiness for the whole fleet. Nothing transmits, and the data stays on your own servers.

The gap

A weapon in the field is blind.

On its own a weapon carries no data: no round count, no service history, no record of who held it. Everything known about it comes from pen, paper and manual counts, and is out of date the moment it is written down. Failures are found in the field, parts are replaced too early or too late, and thousands of hours go into counting.

Senseer starts the record at the weapon. From the moment it leaves the rack, every round, condition and fault is logged by the weapon itself, which replaces human reporting with a measured fact.

  • Round count per weapon and per part, measured instead of estimated.
  • Check-in and check-out logged on contact at the armoury.
  • Readiness across every armoury in one picture.

The sensor

AI that knows a shot from a shake.

The sensor listens to the weapon and recognises each action: the charge, the bolt, the trigger. A shot is counted only when those actions line up. That is how the count reaches 98% accuracy, and why a drop, a slammed door or a dry fire is not mistaken for a round.

Because the sensor sees the whole firing cycle, it also registers faults and can trace them to the part that caused them. The same sealed GEN-2 core sits in every variant; only the housing changes to fit the weapon, so the data, the training and the software are identical across the fleet.

  • Classified on the chip: only events leave the sensor, the raw signal stays.
  • One core for rifles, pistols and crew-served weapons.
  • No change to the manual of arms and no added workload for the user.

Security

Silent at the edge. Inside your walls.

Data leaves the sensor in one way only: a physical NFC touch at the reader. There is no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi and no GPS on the weapon, so there is nothing to detect and nothing to intercept in the field.

From the reader the data goes to a system that runs entirely on your own infrastructure, on-premise, in a private cloud or fully air-gapped. After installation the supplier steps back; nobody outside your organisation can see your data, including Senseer.

  • NFC only: no radio link, no emissions.
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • You decide where the data lives.
  • Every action logged in a tamper-evident audit trail.

How it works

A closed loop, from the weapon to command.

Four links, each adding data and widening the view: one round, one weapon, one armoury, the whole organisation.

  1. 1

    Sensor

On the weapon, in the grip or on the rail. It counts and stores every shot, cycle and fault automatically.

  2. 2

    NFC touch

At the armoury the weapon is held against a reader or kiosk. Contact only; that is the moment the data moves.

  3. 3

    Your server

The armoury station passes the data to your own server, on-premise or in your private cloud.

  4. 4

    Command

Dashboards, reports and audit: inventory, chain of custody and predictive maintenance in one console.

The sensors

One core, every way to mount it.

Choose the variant that fits the weapon. More than 60 weapon types are supported.

A2 sensor

Drops into the pistol grip of AR and M4-pattern rifles, such as the Colt and FN M4, HK416, SIG MCX and CZ Bren. Invisible in use.

G2 sensor

A rechargeable module for the Glock family, including the 17, 19, 19X and 45, with no added bulk on the pistol.

Picatinny sensor

Clamps to any MIL-STD-1913 rail, for machine guns such as the MINIMI and MAG, marksman rifles and legacy fleets.

Embedded grips

Complete grips with the sensor built in, for AK-pattern rifles and for crew-served weapons such as the M249.

K2 sensor

Purpose-fit integration in the grip of the K2 service rifle.

Factory fit

The same core is installed at the factory by weapon manufacturers, so new weapons arrive ready to report.

Who uses it

Fitted to the organisation.

Deployed with armed forces and police across Europe.

01

Armed forces

Readiness from the rack to the command centre: round counts, wear and chain of custody for every rifle, rolled up across every armoury.

02

Special units

Mission-ready without the logbook. The weapon counts its own rounds and flags its own wear, so the team checks a screen instead of a clipboard.

03

Police

Every issued weapon accounted for. Issue and return are logged on contact, so the record is complete before anyone asks for it.

The economics

What changes when the count is real.

Supplier projection

Less ammunition ordered, fewer parts replaced, fewer hours spent counting.

Every round is logged where it is fired, so ammunition is allocated on real use. Service follows the round count instead of the calendar, so parts are replaced when they are due. And the counting itself happens in the background, which removes most of the manual inventory work.

Senseer's model, for a fleet of 15,000 weapons firing 1,500 rounds each per year, projects that every dollar invested returns 4.58 in operating savings over five years, or 2.93 over three, about 24% lower total operating cost. These are the supplier's projected figures, not measured results from a specific customer.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

What is a shot counter?

A sealed sensor mounted on the weapon itself that logs every round fired. It is not an app, a wearable or an accessory the user has to operate; it works from inside the grip or on the rail.

How does the data get off the weapon without a radio?

The sensor stores its data on the weapon and hands it over by NFC when the weapon is held against a reader at the armoury. The weapon emits nothing in the field.

Can maintenance be planned from real round counts?

Yes. The system tracks rounds per weapon and per part and flags parts that approach their service life before they fail, so maintenance becomes planned work instead of repair.

Where is the data stored?

Inside your own perimeter: on-premise, in a private cloud or air-gapped. Your organisation owns where the data resides, and the supplier has no access to it.

Does it fit our weapons?

More than 60 weapon types are supported through grip, rail and embedded variants, including AR-pattern rifles, Glock pistols, AK-pattern rifles and machine guns. Tell us what you field and we check the fit.
