Drone diagnosticsBeta

Find out which part of a Betaflight FPV drone has failed, step by step.

A guided fault-isolation tool for drones with a Betaflight flight controller. Connect the flight controller over USB and the tool reads the firmware, sensors, receiver channels, arming blocks and battery voltage, then walks you through connecting the flight battery, listening for the ESC startup tones and, if needed, a safe test of one motor at a time. It ends with a ranked list of likely fault domains and a service report you can save or print. The first aircraft profile is the iFlight X415 ECO 8S, with a generic Betaflight profile for other builds; everything runs on your own computer and nothing is uploaded.

  • Betaflight 3.5 and newer over Web Serial (MSP)
  • Start from the symptom: no power, motors do not spin, spins but will not take off, one motor differs, DShot/RPM telemetry error, will not arm, receiver
  • Firmware, board, sensors, arming blocks and output limits in plain language
  • Battery connect workflow with ESC startup check and a conservative load test (voltage sag)
  • Motor control and DShot RPM telemetry judged separately, per motor, with RPM comparison
  • Guided multimeter measurements and an FC-to-ESC interconnect checklist
  • Safe motor test: one motor, one second, propellers off; never full throttle on the bench
  • Demo mode with 24 fault scenarios; report with confidence class, timeline, text, JSON or print
  • Installable as an app; works offline
  • Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded

Needs a browser with Web Serial: Chrome, Edge or Opera on a desktop computer. The tool helps you find the failed part; it is not a replacement for Betaflight Configurator. Remove the propellers before any motor test.
