The Xaver is a electromagnetic radar that is capable of penetrating walls or barriers and creating an image of objects behind those walls by picking up the reflected energy from those objects (including people and animals). The system provides information regarding the number of people, their location and orientation, as well as information on non-living objects including the layout of the room and major infrastructure elements. Since the resulted images are not created by visible light or infrared optical methods, they are less detailed.
The system provides situational awareness of a room or building by providing information of how many people are behind the wall or multiple walls; it also provides information on the structure of the building or rooms. Getting information from behind solid walls allows better preparation of an operation: reducing surprises, efficient use of resources and eventually saving lives.
The Xaver™ transmits electromagnetic signals at a very low power level that is a tiny fraction of the power levels of a cellular phone. The Xaver™ systems comply with the international radiation safety standards adhere to the requirements of ICNIRP-1998 radiation exposure restriction and the FCC OET Bulletin 65 - Limits for General Population/ Uncontrolled Exposure.
The Xaver™ utilizes a state-of-the-art system architecture, encompassing multiplecutting edge technologies. A unique, multichannel, and micro-power Ultra-Wideband (UWB) sensor that operates at very high bandwidth enables reliable detection and industry leading object resolution. Algebraic image reconstruction algorithms are used to cope with cluttered environments resulting in a high quality and intuitive image.
